Optical module structure

For example, for scenarios where only optical signals need to be received, the optical module only needs a receiver, so there is a single receiver module and a dual receiver module (double receiver means replacing the space saved by the transmitter with a receiver); Similarly, for scenarios that only need to emit light signals, the optical module only needs to emit it, so there are single light-emitting modules and dual light-emitting modules (replace the space saved by the receiver with a receiver transmitter, which is dual-emitted)
1.Single-fiber bidirectional optical module
The transmitter and receiver are a whole, a device can be used as both a transmitter and a receiver, and the signal transmission of this optical module can be transmitted bidirectionally through a single optical fiber.

If two identical devices are installed inside the single-fiber bidirectional optical module, the transmission of two signals can be carried out at the same time
The role of optical modules
Optical module is a carrier for transmission between the switch and the device, playing the role of photoelectric conversion of a connection module, in which the sending end converts the electrical signal into an optical signal, and after transmission through the optical fiber, the receiving end converts the optical signal into an electrical signal.
Application of optical modules
1.Data center
A large number of network switches, server farms, etc. are placed in the main engine room of the data center, which are the core of integrated wiring and information network equipment, and are also the data aggregation center of the information network system. The connection between servers, switches, and switches requires the use of ETU-LINK's optical modules (direct copper cables, active optical cables), optical fiber jumpers, and other transmission carriers to achieve data interconnection.
2.Mobile communication base station

3. 5G bearer network
The 5G bearer network is generally divided into metropolitan access layer, metropolitan convergence layer, metropolitan core layer and provincial trunk line to realize the forward and middle back transmission functions of 5G services. Among them, devices at each layer mainly rely on optical modules to realize interconnection
4.Passive WDM system
Passive WDM systems are mainly used in metro networks, backbone networks, and wide area networks, and CWDM optical modules and DWDM optical modules are commonly used. Among them, the CWDM optical module adopts CWDM technology, which can compound optical signals of different wavelengths through an external wavelength division multiplexer and transmit them through an optical fiber, thereby saving optical fiber resources. At the same time, the receiver needs to use a wave decomposition multiplexer to decompose the poly-optical signal.
