Wuhan Military Games

The World Military Games is a large-scale comprehensive sports meeting of the highest standards of military personnel sponsored by the International Military Sports Council.

The 7th CISM Military World Games, referred to as the "Wuhan Military Games", was held in Wuhan, China from October 18th to 27th, 2019. The competition period was 10 days. A total of shooting, swimming, track and field, Basketball and other 27 major items and 329 small items are the largest in the history of the World Military Games, with the largest number of participants and the most influential sports meeting.

Create military glory and build world peace. The 7th World Military Games was grandly opened in Wuhan, Hubei Province on the evening of the 18th. General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State and Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the Games. The 7th World Military Games is the first comprehensive international military sports event hosted by China. It is also the largest international sports event held in China after the Beijing Olympic Games. More than 9,300 military athletes from 109 countries will compete and enhance friendship in Jiangcheng Wuhan.

The 7th World Military Games was held by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Central Military Commission. On the occasion of the grand celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the establishment of the Military Games will show the world the great achievements of the new era and demonstrate China's self-confidence, friendliness and tolerance. This is the first time that China has hosted a comprehensive international military sports event. It is also the largest international sports event held in China after the Beijing Olympics. All the competitions of the 7th World Military Games were arranged in the four major sections of the host city, Wuhan, along the banks of the Yangtze River. This is the first time in the history of the Military Games.

In the preparatory process, Wuhan Military Games also created a number of firsts in the history of military transport: the first time to go out of the military camp, the first time to build a military transport village, for the first time to achieve all competitions in the same city, the first use of 5G + 8K 5G+VR information transmission and TV broadcast technology, for the first time, provide a full range of volunteer services for various delegations.

On the evening of October 27th, the 7th World Military Games was successfully concluded at the Wuhan Sports Center Gymnasium. On the side of the sacred fire, the melody of "Peace of Peace" rang again, and the mascots of the "Army" that came through "the crossing" brought up a bond of friendship in this sporting covenant.
