Wideband Directional Window Mount Cell Phone Signal Antenna provides 6 dBi Gain on LTE & Cellular band frequencies and 7.5 dBi Gain on AWS & PCS band frequencies.
zBoost CANT0043 is a window-mounted high gain antenna supporting both 3G and 4G cellular communications on the CEL, PCS, AWS, and LTE frequency bands. It uses a type F-female connector and supports RG6 and RG11 coaxial cables. A wall/ mast mounting bracket is also included for applications where sufficient signal is not present at a window interior. This antenna provides increased signal coverage when aimed in the direction of best signal. It must be wall mounted with the cable pointing down. Avoid pointing the antenna within 2 feet of other wires or metal objects.
Purchase includes: Antenna, cable with F type connector, short and long suction cup attachments, as well as a wall/mast mounting bracket kit for flexible mounting options.
Wi-Ex zBoost external antenna provides increased coverage for all cellular bands (700 MHz - 2600 MHz) from a single direction.
Summary:
- Outdoor, window mount wide-band unidirectional antenna.
- Fixed easy installations.
- Weather resistant.
- Up to +7.5 dBi Gain.
zBoost CANT-0043 wide-band indoor/outdoor receiving signal antenna provides improved signal for devices operating in the cellular, PCS, AWS, and LTE frequency bands. For maximum performance, be sure to aim the antenna in the direction of your wireless provider’s cell tower. If you know the direction of your provider’s tower, simply point the antenna in that direction. If you are unsure of the location of the nearest tower, see antenna aiming instructions below. Note: The closest tower to your location may not be for your specific provider.
Installation tips:
FIRST: Place the signal antenna on the interior of a window located in the area of best signal.
Determine the location that provides the strongest signal using the signal strength indicator on your cell phone. Find the location on the window that provides the most bars of signal strength.
Note: Energy-efficient windows will likely block signal from reaching the signal antenna. In this case, it is necessary to move the signal antenna away from this window to another location.
Before proceeding, make sure that the intended surface is clean and clear of any dust. Then, using the suction cup attachments, fasten the signal antenna to your window making sure to point the correct face of the antenna to the tower as indicated on the label. In order to capture the strongest signal, you may do one or all of the following:
1. Move the antenna around the window – higher is usually better.
2. Use the long suction cup attachments as provided to better angle the antenna to capture the best signal. The antenna must be vertical on the window (as pictured in the illustration to the right, with cable at the bottom – not on the side). Avoid draping the coax near the antenna.
3. Keep the signal antenna at least 2 feet from any metal.
4. The signal antenna and indoor antenna should have at least 15 feet of horizontal separation. Increasing separation of the 2 antennas will optimize zBoost performance.
Flexible Mounting Options:
Mounting option 2: Mount the signal antenna to an interior or exterior wall by first placing the wall/mast bracket on the desired wall using screws and wall anchors (not provided). Unscrew and remove the endcaps from the top and bottom of the antenna and place the antenna inside the bracket so that the cable hangs down and then snap into place. Fasten the endcaps back into place.
Note: Avoid placing the signal antenna near metal such as wiring, a window edge frame, A/C unit, metal siding, etc.
Mounting option 3: Install a mast (not provided) on your roof in the area of best signal. Keep in mind, the antenna will need to face the direction of your carrier’s nearest tower. Fasten the wall/mast bracket to the mast using the provided hardware as seen above. Unscrew and remove the endcaps from the top and bottom of the antenna and place the antenna inside the bracket so that the cable hangs down and snap into place. Fasten the endcaps back into place.
SECOND: Connect coax cable to the antenna.
THIRD: Route the cable indoors and connect it to the base unit using the cell phone signal booster installation instructions.
